Past Due Balances

Students are expected to pay their account balances in full by the final payment deadline each term, or immediately upon withdrawal from the university. Balances not paid by the appropriate deadline are considered past due and may be subject to late fees and holds being placed on your account.

What To Do?

If your balance is past due, it's crucial to act promptly. Here are your options:

1. Make Payment in Full

Pay off the entire balance in full to clear your account. 

2. Enroll in a Payment Plan:

  • Create an Account: Register in the Former Student Payment Portal to view your balance and the available payment plan options based on your balance. 
  • Enrollment Fee: Be aware that there is a one-time enrollment fee of $40 for the payment plan, which is non-refundable.

Additional information:

  • Automatic Payments: Once you enroll in a payment plan, payments will be scheduled automatically each month on the date you choose. 
  • Bank Account: Payments will be drafted from the bank account you set up during enrollment. 
  • No Further Action Needed: After enrollment, you only need to ensure that there are sufficient funds in your bank account on each payment due date.

  • If your balance remains unpaid for more than 120 days and you have not enrolled in a payment plan through the Former Student Payment Portal, your account may be referred to an external collection agency.

    Once an account has been placed with a collection agency:

    • All payments must be made directly through the agency, and
    • You will be responsible for any additional collection fees assessed as a result of placement.
